Week 9 - What Color is Your Parachute - The Most Important Thing That You Must Do To Get a Job

Many people believe that they are done with the interview when they step out of the room. Wrong! The most important thing that will get you a job is to send a thank you letter to the person who had spend the time to interview you. Saying thank you to somebody is not trying to get their favor. Sending a thank you letter to the interviewer show that you have appreciate their time whether you get the job or not. This is one great way to build relationship and network.

My first internship was in my sophomore year. I got that position while competing with upper-clansman who is more experience and have a higher G.P.A than I do. This is not because I was smart. This is because I was attentive to and appreciate others for what they had done for me. Your attitude toward other can tell a lot about you as a person and how you can be an asset to their company.
